Signs
By Kind
Our sign systems fall into basically three different categories
or kinds: changeable,
permanent, combination
or 3 Dimensional.
Once you have decided that you want to implement a wayfinding
sign program for your facility, we will present you with a Wayfinding
Sign Program Proposal. This proposal will outline a five step program
that begins with:
- A Sign Audit - where we will visit your facility
to audit your existing sign system.
- A New Program Plan - where we will outline a plan
that best suits your facility and meets all of your needs.
- Design and Product Selection - which selects
the sign systems that best serves the plan outlined above.
- Manufacturing and Site Preparation - we
will manufacture the products and prepare the site for their installation.
- Installation - we complete the program by installing
all of the signs and show you how to use the various keys and
tools to make the changes when necessary.

Signs by Kind
A major part of our wayfinding program involves deciding which sign
systems best suit the needs of your facility, i.e., whether or not
you will need to change the information in the signs on a daily,
weekly or monthly basis. In such a case as this you would choose
a sign system that was fairly flexible or changeable. We
also offer signs that can be permanent or a combination of both.

Information
|
Changeable: this category includes all those signs
that can be changed on a daily, weekly or monthly basis for
distributing information concerning everything from the names
of staff personnel, to the name of the company, department
or even a room. Changeable signs can be used to distribute
information about floor plans, to display pictures, directories,
notices, schedules and regulations. Since this type of sign
must be changeable, you might consider using the tablet
sign system. Also see Changeable
Signs.

Direction
|
Permanent: this category includes all those signs
that are meant to be permanently displayed and will never
be altered in any way. These kinds of signs might show visitors
to your facility which direction to go to reach their destination.
Since these signs are not changeable but fixed, you could
go with either the cirque or elipse
sign system. Also See Permanent
Signs.

Identification
|
Combination: this category includes all those signs
that be changed on a regular basis or can be fixed. The combination
allows you flexibility in the future should things change.
They can identify the location of a room, a particular person,
area or some other entity. Since the locations of staff, rooms
and so on, do not change that often, you can go with a sign
system that allows for change, but is fairly permanent. In
this case, you would probably have to choose between the tablet
and elipse systems. Also See
Combination Signs.

Safety
|
Three Dimensional: this category includes all those
signs that offer 3 dimensional graphics that deal with safety
issues and inform visitors to your facility what to do in
case of emergencies, what they should or should not do while
they are in the building. Since most of these signs will display
the rules and guidelines of the building, these signs are
usually permanent. You might think about selecting the tablet
system if you think that you might need to change these signs.
Otherwise, you should probably choose the Elipse
system. Also See Three
Dimensional Signs.
