Temporary Signage
Established in 1977, Wm. Whiteley Limited designs and manufactures interior signage, including Temporary Informational signage, as well as complete wayfinding and sign systems for both existing facilities and new buildings. Over the past five years alone we have successfully completed well over 100 interior signage projects. Our clients include healthcare facilities (nursing homes, Long Term Care, and hospitals); colleges and universities; airports and transportation terminals; hotels and public buildings.
Temporary signage shouldn’t look like an afterthought…
How often have you seen notices describing temporary situations (of all degrees of urgency) taped up in elevator lobbies or onto walls? Dealing with notices in that way does two things, and neither of them are good things: it downgrades the interior environment of the building they are in and, more importantly, it makes it look as if building management are not prepared for emergencies or temporary situations and are dealing with them – and with public safety and security - as an afterthought.
Temporary signage may be required both for predictable conditions (“Caution wet floor”; “Back in 10 minutes”, etc.) as well as in emergency situations such as health alerts or to advise of special security arrangements.
Depending upon the situation and its frequency, as well as on the other uses which the facility may wish to make of the sign holders, a choice can be made between signs which are permanently attached or those which are movable between locations and for storage.
